How Long a NY Lawyer Needs to Practice in TX Before Getting a License to Practice in That State ?

I was informed yesterday that a TX lawyer needs a practice of 5 years in order to get a NY license , I would like to know the opposite , if someone is there to help me . Thank you !

Attorneys cannot practice in a particular state until they have a license in that state. So a NY atty cannot practice in TX ever – unless they get the TX license first.

To get the license, take the state bar exam, pass it, be sworn in before the court, then you get your license and can practice.
